Benefits of Condo Living

If you are a first time homebuyer who will be living independently, a condo may be a good choice for you.  A condo may also be ideal for those who are looking to downsize and don’t have the time or desire to manage the maintenance that comes with owning a single family home.  No matter which category you fall into, there are many advantages to condo living.

Whether you are a first time homebuyer, or have a family and are looking to downsize, you will notice that condos tend to have lower prices and are more affordable.  Condo owners also enjoy the same tax benefits as owners of single-family homes.  You can rest assured knowing that the condominium association is responsible for all of the exterior maintenance. Other things like gardening, snow removal, and repairs are all covered by your monthly condo fees.  Condos are also often times conveniently located near office buildings, shopping and entertainment.  By sacrificing a small amount of square footage in exchange for convenience, you will be able to spend your time doing the things you love to do.

Many condos offer great amenities that include:

  • Swimming Pool
  • Fitness Center
  • Theatre Rooms
  • Party Rooms
  • Tennis Courts

Another perk of living in a condo is the advanced security measures.  Most buildings offer 24/hour concierge service, on site security, and secured entrances.  This is great for someone who travels a lot or goes on vacation for extended periods of time.  You will have the peace of mind knowing that you home is safe while you are gone.

There are many people who believe that owning a condo is much easier that owning a single family home.  Advantages to condo living include amenities, convenience, and security.  If you are single or looking to downsize, a condo may be a great choice for you.

High Rise Apartment Buildings

Have you ever thought about living in a high-rise building?  There are many benefits to this that include location, convenience, and on-site amenities.  If you are moving, there are many reasons why renting in a high-rise building may be worth considering.

High-rise buildings offer amenities for those who are looking to make their lives easier.  These amenities include an on-site gym, dryer cleaner, laundry room, controlled entry, on-site maintenance, and more.  Doormen and security systems can be of great value to those who live alone or travel frequently.  There are also business centers where you can take care of all your copying, faxing, and other business needs.  If you live in a heavily populated area, many high-rise buildings will also offer underground parking.  This feature can help make maintaining your car and parking a lot easier.

If you are looking to meet new people, living in a high rise can provide a real sense of community.  Many high-rises offer community events that are designed to help residents meet and get to know each other.  Getting to know a few people or families that live in your building will hopefully help make you feel more comfortable and right at home.

Another advantage to high-rise living is saving on the cost of utilities.  Oftentimes the cable, heating, and internet costs are already packaged into your monthly rent.  While there are some high-rises that do not bundle these utilities, they will still allow you to negotiate a lower rate.  If you are someone who does not use the internet often, many of the resident lounges provide free Wi-Fi.  This way you won’t have to worry about signing up for the internet yourself.

High-rise apartment buildings are often located in desirable, central locations.  You will be within a few minutes walking distance to shopping centers, restaurants, public transportation, and more.  By living in a high-rise, you will be saving a lot on time and transportation.

If you are looking to save money and time, then living in a high-rise building may be a great choice for you.  In addition to saving on utilities, there are great on-site amenities, and you will have the opportunity to meet new people.

Living in Huatulco, Mexico

Living in Huatulco, Mexico

Huatulco, Mexico is a newer resort area that is poised to become one of Mexico’s key beach attractions for people in search of well-preserved natural surroundings.  Many refer to Huatulco as “the next Cabo” because of its beautiful coastline, crystal blue waters, and the fact that Huatulco is a lot like Cabo once was – a scenic fishing village on the verge of discovery.  It is rapidly becoming a popular destination for a second home.

About Huatulco

Huatulco is stretched out over 22 miles of coastline between the Coyula and Copalito rivers.  It is just 140 miles from the city of Oaxaca.  This region is set within a beautiful natural area with the Sierra Madre mountain chain forming a gorgeous backdrop to the tourist development.  Huatulco’s biodiversity and immaculate landscapes make it a popular destination of nature lovers.

Beautiful Beaches

You’ll be able to stroll across the beaches of Huatulco and gaze out across the crystal blue waters of the Pacific Ocean.  You can spend your days swimming, sun bathing, fishing, surfing, and snorkeling.  One of the top beaches in Huatulco is Maguey Bay.  This beach offers small seafood restaurants scattered along the beach and calm water for swimming.  The Santa Cruz beach is also very popular, and has plenty of activities to keep you entertained such as banana boats, jet skis and kayaks.

While in Huatulco, you’ll have a great opportunity to sample Oaxacan cuisine, as well as Mexican seafood specialties.  There are many beachfront palapas (traditional Mexican shelter roofed with palm leaves or branches) where fresh seafood is available.  Some of the more popular restaurants include El Sabor de Oaxaca (known for their tamales) and TerraCotta in La Crucecita, and L’Echalote in Bahia Chahue.

What to Do

Unlike larger resort cities in Mexico, Huatulco has a quieter, less crowded vibe.  You’ll be able to take a boat tour of Huatulco’s bays, which includes stops for swimming, snorkeling and lunch.  If you like to play golf, you can do so at the 18-hole Tangolunda golf course. You can also take a trip around Huatulco’s nine bays on a motorboat partially covered by an awning.  This three-hour trip provides an excellent tour of the stunning surroundings and hidden beaches.  Also popular in this part of Mexico is river rafting on local rivers.

With its nine bays and 36 beaches, Huatulco has much to offer for those looking to make it a second home destination.   For more information on contemporary oceanfront living, please click here
