As Co-Owner & Partner of the Personette Group, Laurie brings over 28 years of marketing expertise to Personette & Associates. Her breadth of experience includes developing and implementing communications programs across consumer touch points, ranging from global, brand and retail advertising, relationship marketing, and event marketing and promotions for leading global brands at Young & Rubicam. And as Edith Personette's eldest daughter, Laurie has consulted with Personette & Associates and many of its clients in high-rise, mid-rise and garden condominiums and branded residences for the past 20 years.
Also a principal of Thomsen & Null, a direct marketing agency, Laurie is a strategic thinker with a strong affinity for channel neutral, results-oriented solutions. She earned her reputation as a trusted client partner from her commitment to and delivery of ideas and programs that build their business. A principle tenet of Thomsen & Null is to help clients maximize their marketing investment. Drawing on her experience across diverse industries and multiple channels, Laurie has helped craft optimal marketing solutions for clients including Mitsubishi, Suzuki, The Orange County Register, Trammel Crow, The Redstone Companies and The Ryness Company.
Laurie's 19 year career with the Y&R (Young & Rubicam) Companies culminated with her position as Managing Director of Wunderman Irvine where she realigned the Wunderman organization to establish core practice expertise and best-in-class thinking in Relationship Marketing, Digital Marketing and Events & Promotions. Prior to joining the Irvine office, Laurie had been President of the Y&R Group Detroit where she was responsible for such clients at Ford Division, Ford Credit, Champion Homes and The Salvation Army. She also held national and regional leadership positions and played an integral role in building and managing integrated teams to deliver media-neutral solutions for Mercury nationally and for the Lincoln Mercury Dealer Association throughout the country. Prior to her national automotive assignments, Laurie directed integrated communications for Y&R's Diversified accounts, including Village Green Apartments, Holtzman & Silverman Development, Michigan National Bank, Michigan Consolidated Gas Company, Vernors Ginger Ale, as well as for DuPont Automotive and DuPont Refinishes in Europe and the U.S..
Her advertising career in 1983 with Schey Advertising in Houston, where Laurie worked with a variety of residential real estate developers, automotive retailers, financial institutions and Grandy's Restaurants.
Laurie is a licensed Realtor in the State of California and graduated from Texas A&M University with a BBA in Marketing.
