Edith Personette’s eldest daughter, Laurie brings over 30 years of strategic planning, marketing and management expertise to the Personette Group. In just six years with the Company, her strong affinity for problem solving and results-oriented solutions has proven invaluable to Personette’s developer clients during and emerging from the recent recession. She leveraged Personette’s network to arrange preferred lending relationships to insure timely closings, and mentored and coached agents with their day-to-day challenges in transitioning pre-sales to closed contracts. Laurie also helped developers plan and launch new developments during the recession and was arguably been the most difficult residential real estate market in the recent history. It is her commitment to delivering results to clients that earned her reputation as a trusted client partner throughout her career. And Laurie’s breadth of marketing and management experience across multiple categories has helped Personette’s expansion of its service offerings to the Destination and niche Community developments.
Prior to joining Personette, Laurie’s initial foray as a business owner was the co-founding of Thomsen & Null, a marketing communications company based in Southern California, focused on helping clients across industries maximize their investment in marketing and sales. Laurie helped craft optimal marketing solutions for clients including Mitsubishi, Suzuki, The Orange County Register, Trammell Crow, The Redstone Companies and The Ryness Company. And as Edith Personette’s eldest daughter, Laurie and Thomsen & Null began regularly working with Personette and many of its clients in high-rise, mid-rise and garden condominiums and branded residences to deliver marketing programs, including W Dallas Residences in 2004. Laurie now draws on her experience across diverse industries and multiple channels to provide tangible solutions to her real estate clients full time.
Before turning her focus to residential real estate, Laurie spent 19 years with the Y&R (Young & Rubicam) Companies (3rd largest global advertising agency) in numerous leadership positions and built a breadth of experience developing and implementing marketing programs ranging from global, brand and retail advertising to relationship marketing and promotions for leading global brands at Young & Rubicam.
Her advertising career in 1983 with Schey Advertising in Houston, where Laurie worked with a variety of residential real estate developers, automotive retailers, financial institutions and Grandy’s Restaurants.
Laurie is a licensed Real Estate Broker in California Real Estate and graduated from Texas A&M University with a BBA in Marketing.
